Shipping to the US

I’m based in Perth, Western Australia.
As a result the cost of shipping to the US is high, but it has an extra “hidden” cost due to the tariffs.

To give you as much warning as possible I’ve put warnings on the Store, Checkout, T&C and R&R Policy pages warning about the additional tariff fees once your item lands in the USA.

With the tariff nightmare going on I need to ensure the costs of the imports do not affect my business’ bottom line, so we will not be covering the costs of tariffs and to avoid confusion, they are not included in our shipping costs. Our international shipping costs as of 17th of August 2025 are the same across most countries. We are not including the fees as this is as USA only issue and believe for simplicity and cost sake it is easier to assign this responsibility to our USA buyers.

The warning looks like this:

The USA’s Customs & Border Patrol website states that items are held by the courier/customs until the import tax is paid by the buyer. Please ensure you are proactive about postal notifications of arrival in country so you can pay & collect your item before it is sent to warehouses for storage as, per CBP’s website, it will incur additional storage fees and be considered abandoned and auctioned off after 6 months.

To assist in this, failure to provide adequate information details in the checkout section may result in an order put on hold or cancelled & refunded. If information is falsely entered we are not liable for lost property as a result of customs or postal companies being unable to contact you to pay for import tariffs, nor are we liable for the loss and surrendering of the item, storage fees or any other associated fees as a result of failing to provide correct information and it being held at customs/postal services.

We also highly recommend buyers in the US [but also worldwide for convenience!] who receive items that have minor imperfections that would normally constitute a return and repair/replacement to contact us first with photos and a description of the damage to check if we can guide you on how to repair it without having to return the product and repay the tariff fees again [as the tariffs are imposed on the importer, so we will not be covering them in any circumstance as per the USA Customs & Border Patrol website.]

We hope it doesn’t come to that, but we’re also not responsible for what the USA does.

Thanks for your understanding
